About Me
Hello! My name is Sierra Wessels. That's where Profe Sierra comes from. If you thought Sierra was my last name you aren't alone! I am in fact named after the mountains and I know that a lot of people think my handle is referencing the mountains-- which it sort of does-- but really that's just my name and has been for the last 25 years.
I am a fourth year teacher in a smaller school in the metro in Iowa. I teach Spanish I, a compacted Spanish 1-2, and Spanish III . In my free time I also coach Speech and help with board game club. I love what I do, but I am always looking for ways to save time and I truly believe if my work can save other teachers time-- that's a BIG win!
I am presently getting ready to take my first group of students to Ecuador in June 2023 and can't wait to share that experience with all of you.
I love dance, music, and LOTS of movement in my classroom. That's why I love teaching using comprehensible input! Want to learn more about all things CI? Check out my post to learn more.
